Sand Blocks: Drop Puzzle Level 394 Walkthrough

expert 6 colors

Level 394 carries the game's Hard label on an H-shaped board: purple, pink and yellow feeds on the left tower, and a tall purple shutter marked 5 hiding gray and white feeds on the right tower. Five quick left-side clears lift the shutter by 1:45, and the rest of the level is about two-colour receivers whose rim shows the second colour they need; the last yellow L clears at 0:10 on the timer.

How to Solve Sand Blocks Level 394 — Full Solution

  1. At about 2:00 on the timer the shutter reads 5. Let the tall yellow bar under the yellow feed fill; it clears at 1:59 and the shutter drops to 4.
  2. Move the small pink square under the pink feed; it fills at about 1:58 and the shutter reads 3 at 1:57.
  3. Push the purple Z up under the purple feed. It shows 100% at about 1:55 and the shutter reads 2.
  4. Slide the small yellow square into the yellow feed; it clears at about 1:51 (shutter 1).
  5. Lift the tall purple bar into the purple feed. At about 1:47 the shutter reaches 0, and by 1:45 the right tower is open: dark-gray and white feeds with two yellow bars under them.
  6. Carry a small black square to the dark-gray feed; it clears at about 1:37. Use the next half-minute to move the yellow bars, purple and magenta Ls and pale rimmed Ls through the middle band into better positions.
  7. Park the long pink bar under the pink feed: 50% at about 1:06 and cleared at 1:05.
  8. Take the stacked yellow bars across to the yellow feed; they show 60% at about 0:59 and clear right after. A tall purple bar under the purple feed then clears at about 0:48.
  9. Put the pink L under the pink feed (46% at about 0:29, 100% at 0:28), then fill the black L at the dark-gray feed: 64% at 0:24, 100% at 0:23.
  10. The yellow L with a white rim fills yellow at about 0:23 and turns into a white receiver; carry it through the middle band to the white feed (42% at 0:20, 100% at 0:19). The purple L clears at the purple feed at about 0:18 and a pink tall bar at the pink feed at about 0:16, just as those two feeds run dry.
  11. Finish the pale L receivers with yellow rims: each fills white first (60% at about 0:16, 15% at 0:13) and then becomes a yellow L. Clear the first at the yellow feed (40% at about 0:14) and the second at 0:11-0:10; the board is empty at 0:10.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Leaving the tall yellow bar or the purple Z buried at the start; the shutter needs five clears and those pieces are the fastest ones.
  • Parking a long magenta or purple bar across the middle band, which traps every piece on one side.
  • Dropping a rimmed piece somewhere after its first fill and forgetting it still needs the rim colour; it keeps taking up space until the second feed fills it.

Quick Tips for Sand Blocks Level 394 (quick clues)

  • Spend the first fifteen seconds on the small left-side pieces; five clears open the whole right tower.
  • Read the rim: after the first colour fills, the piece turns into a receiver of the rim colour and has to travel to that feed.
  • Keep the middle band clear so pieces can cross between the towers.

Layout
Two towers joined by a band of open cells across the middle. The left tower has purple, pink and yellow feeds over its three columns, with a small pink square, a small black square and a tall yellow bar directly under them, a purple Z, black squares and a black L, pale L receivers with yellow rims, a yellow L and a long magenta bar along the bottom. The right tower is covered by a tall purple shutter marked 5; when it lifts it shows a dark-gray feed and a white feed over two yellow bars, with purple and magenta L pieces and short pink and purple bars below.
Goal
Lift the shutter with five clears on the left feeds, then send every receiver to its feed. Rimmed receivers need two colours: the fill colour first, then the rim colour, so a pale L with a yellow rim takes white and then yellow, and a yellow L with a white rim takes yellow and then white.
Opening
The tall yellow bar is already under the yellow feed and clears at about 1:59 on the timer (shutter 4). A small pink square follows at the pink feed (shutter 3 at 1:57), then the purple Z (100% at 1:55, shutter 2), a small yellow square (shutter 1 at 1:51) and a tall purple bar at the purple feed, which takes the shutter to 0 at 1:47. It is gone by 1:45.
Danger Zone
The middle band is the only way between the towers, and it is only one or two cells high; long pieces parked across it block every transfer from left to right. Rimmed receivers do not vanish after their first fill, so a half-finished piece sitting under a feed still occupies it until it is dragged to the second colour.
Mechanics
Five fixed feeds (purple, pink, yellow on the left; dark gray and white on the right); a right-tower shutter that counts five clears; two-colour receivers whose rim marks the second colour; feeds that run dry one by one near the end (gray by 0:21, purple by 0:18, pink by 0:17, white by 0:12).

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the 5 on the right tower?

A shutter that counts clears. Five clears on the left feeds (yellow bar, pink square, purple Z, yellow square, purple bar) bring it to zero at about 1:47 on the timer and uncover the dark-gray and white feeds.

  • Why did a receiver change colour instead of disappearing?

Rimmed receivers need two colours. The inside colour fills first; then the piece becomes a receiver of its rim colour. A pale L with a yellow rim goes white then yellow, and a yellow L with a white rim goes yellow then white.

  • Which piece is last?

A pale L with a yellow rim: it fills white at the white feed, turns yellow at about 0:12, and clears at the yellow feed at 0:10.
