Sand Blocks: Drop Puzzle Level 420 Walkthrough

expert 9 colors

Level 420 uses shared clear counters across a green upper cover and two red shutters. Open the upper pocket first, preserve the centre for the pink checkered L, then work the counted glass lanes and finish with the last pink receiver under the right pipe.

How to Solve Sand Blocks Level 420 — Full Solution

  1. Clear the small upper receivers around the purple bar, red feed and green counted cover. Let each receiver settle so the shared counters update before moving a large footprint.
  2. Continue the upper green, red, blue and purple pocket until the green cover has visibly fallen from 8 through 7 and 4. Keep the pink checkered L out of the narrow centre during this gate phase.
  3. Use the newly opened left lower lane to finish the small red and yellow receivers. The left red shutter should disappear before the right shutter, which remains at 1 for part of the opening.
  4. When the green cover and right shutter are nearly open, route the small blue and green receivers through their side footprints. Leave a clean corridor from the upper centre to the lower-right glass.
  5. Introduce the pink checkered L only after the red shutters have opened. Keep its long edge in the lower-middle/right chamber and let its visible counter drop from about 21 to 19 and 15 before moving the next large piece.
  6. During the 2:27-1:39 phase, clear the green and yellow receivers on the left while the pink L drains. Do not use the L as a bridge across the central corridor; it blocks the counted glass lane.
  7. Work the right glass and lower-right yellow glass in place as their visible counts fall from 10 to 8, 4 and 1. Leave the side pipe mouths exposed instead of pulling their receivers toward the pink footprint.
  8. When the pink counter reaches about 11 and then 7, clear the remaining purple, red and blue pieces around the open centre. Wait for each percentage to finish before staging the next L or bar.
  9. In the late 0:32-0:07 phase, keep the brown/blue receivers in their lower footprints and let the counted right-side box fall to 2. The last pink horizontal belongs directly under the right pink pipe.
  10. At about 0:07, hold the final pink receiver at its pipe until the visible progress reaches 100%. The board clears immediately after the last side receiver settles; a final swipe is unnecessary.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Moving the pink checkered L into the centre while a red shutter or green cover still blocks the lower chamber.
  • Parking the L across the central corridor and covering the counted glass or lower yellow/blue lane.
  • Pulling a side-pipe receiver into the centre during the final seconds instead of letting it finish in place.

Quick Tips for Sand Blocks Level 420 (quick clues)

  • Clear small upper receivers first and wait for the shared counters to settle.
  • Do not introduce the pink checkered L until the red shutters have opened and the centre corridor is available.
  • Leave the final pink horizontal receiver under the right pipe until it reaches 100%.
Board notes 5 details
Layout
A tall portrait board with a red upper-left reservoir, a dark purple receiver near the top centre and a green counted cover at the upper-right. Large red shutters occupy the lower-left and lower-right; they read 4 and 5 on the intro card and have already dropped to 1 and 2 when play begins. Small green, red, purple, blue, yellow and brown receivers fill the upper and middle pockets, with a large pink checkered L in the lower-middle/right chamber.
Goal
Clear the compact upper receivers so the shared counter system opens the red shutters and lowers the green cover. Keep the central corridor open for the pink checkered L, then finish the counted glass and right-side pipe phases.
Opening
At 3:15, work the small receivers around the purple bar, green cover and red feed. The visible counters fall together: the green cover moves from 8 through 7 and 4, the left red shutter opens first, and the right shutter reaches 1.
Danger Zone
The middle becomes tight when the green, red, purple and blue pieces mix with the pink checkered L. Its visible counter passes through 21, 19, 15, 11 and 7. Parking it across the centre can block the right glass lane and the lower yellow/blue lane.
Mechanics
Large shutters and the green cover share a clear-counter progression. The pink checkered L has a visible drain counter, while right-side glass and lower yellow glass counts fall independently during the late green, red, purple and blue feed phases.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What opens the large shutters in Level 420?

The small upper receivers drive a shared clear-counter progression. The green cover and red shutters visibly step down together as those receivers finish.

  • When should the pink checkered L be moved?

Wait until the red shutters have opened. Then keep the L in the lower-middle/right chamber while its visible counter falls through about 21, 19, 15, 11 and 7.

  • What is the last active receiver?

The final pink horizontal receiver sits under the right pink pipe and is still around 85% near 0:07. Hold it there until the clear animation starts.
