Sand Blocks: Drop Puzzle Level 399 Walkthrough

expert 6 colors

Level 399 hangs every lock on one shared clear count. Each finished receiver ticks down the upper shutter (4), the lower shutter (10), the purple numbered blocks and, once it shows, the gold-framed pocket marked 15. Black from the left tray starts the chain, blue from the top hopper and red from the right tray keep it going, and the pocket's hidden pieces plus a yellow finish close the level.

How to Solve Sand Blocks Level 399 — Full Solution

  1. At 2:15 on the timer, a black square fills under the left tray. The upper shutter drops to 3, the lower to 9 and the purple block to 4.
  2. Keep feeding small black squares to the tray: a clear around 2:08 brings the counts to 2, 8 and 3, one at about 1:58 to 1, 7 and 2, and one at 1:57 to 6 on the lower shutter and 1 on the purple block. The upper shutter lifts at about 1:56.
  3. The upper section shows the blue hopper, the gold pocket marked 15 and several purple blocks at 1. Finish another black piece under the left tray (69% at 1:46). At 1:45 the purple blocks vanish, the pocket reads 14 and the lower shutter reads 5.
  4. Drop blue pieces under the top-right hopper. One reaches 100% at about 1:40 (pocket 13, lower 4), and at 1:35 two clears together take the pocket to 11 and the lower shutter to 2. Another clear at about 1:26 makes it 10 and 1.
  5. Line a black bar up under the left tray. It reads 21% at 1:14 and 100% at 1:13, the lower shutter disappears by 1:12, and the pocket drops to 9. The left nozzle turns purple.
  6. Use the red tray at the bottom-right. A red bar is at 67% at 1:09 and clears for pocket 8. A blue bar under the hopper reaches 100% at about 0:59 (pocket 7), and the top tube switches to green.
  7. Put the last blue vertical under the hopper; it reads 77% at 0:44 and clears for pocket 6. Then run red pieces through the right tray: 39% and 100% at 0:40 (pocket 5), 72% at 0:39 (4), a double clear at 0:38 (2), and 99% at 0:36 (1).
  8. At about 0:35 the pocket opens and a purple square sits where the 15 was. Clear the pocket area, and at 0:32 a red vertical, a black bar and a green bar drop in.
  9. Take the black bar to the left tray: 5% at 0:30, 44% at 0:29, 100% at 0:28. Purple sand follows, so fill the purple pieces under the tray in turn: the arrow bar at about 0:27, the large purple square at 0:26-0:25, and a small purple square in the 40s at 0:24 that clears by 0:23.
  10. Slide the green bar under the top-right hopper. It reaches 100% at about 0:14, and the hopper turns yellow.
  11. Run the yellow pieces quickly: a yellow vertical at 0:13, a small yellow square at 0:12 (while the last red vertical clears under the red tray), then another at 36% at 0:11, a yellow bar at 0:10 and the final yellow bar at about 0:08. SAND BLOCKS appears at 0:07.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Filling only one kind of receiver while waiting for a counter. Every clear counts, so any finished piece helps.
  • Parking the arrow bar or the large purple square in the lane between the left tray and the red tray.
  • Using up all the black early. A black bar is still needed after the 15 pocket opens.

Quick Tips for Sand Blocks Level 399 (quick clues)

  • Every receiver you finish counts toward every visible number, so quick small clears are the fastest way to open things.
  • Blue only comes from the top-right hopper, and red only from the right tray once the lower shutter is gone.
  • Leave one black bar for after the 15 pocket opens; the left tray still has black left at that point.

Layout
At the start, only a narrow middle band is exposed, with a purple shutter marked 4 above it and one marked 10 below. A left-wall nozzle feeds a tray at c1 with black sand. The band holds red and yellow squares, small black squares, a tall red vertical, a purple countdown block showing 5, and a purple arrow bar that slides only sideways. The top tube is blue and the right-wall nozzle beside the lower shutter is red. Under the upper shutter are a blue hopper in the top-right corner, packed red and yellow pieces, more purple countdown blocks and a gold-framed pocket marked 15. Under the lower shutter are a red tray at the bottom-right, a large purple square, blue verticals, a green bar and yellow bars.
Goal
Clear enough receivers to open both shutters and run the 15 pocket down to zero. Then fill the pieces released from the pocket and finish the yellow receivers before the 2:15 timer runs out.
Opening
Push small black squares under the left tray one at a time. Each clear lowers every counter together: 2:15 takes the shutters to 3 and 9 and the purple block to 4.
Danger Zone
The purple arrow bar only slides sideways, and it and the large purple square have no sand to fill from until the left nozzle turns purple late in the level. Keep both out of the lanes the black and red pieces use to reach their trays.
Mechanics
One shared clear count that drives both shutters, the purple numbered blocks (they vanish at zero) and the gold 15 pocket, which releases a purple square, a red vertical, a black bar and a green bar once it opens. The left nozzle runs black, then purple. The top hopper runs blue, then green, then yellow. The right tray is red.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why do several numbers drop at once?

They all follow the same count. Every receiver that clears ticks down the upper shutter, the lower shutter, the purple numbered blocks and the gold 15 pocket, whichever of them are still showing.

  • What is inside the gold 15 pocket?

A purple square, followed by a red vertical, a black bar and a green bar once the pocket is cleared at about 0:35 on the timer.

  • What does the purple arrow bar do?

It is a purple receiver that only slides left and right. It fills from the left tray once that tray turns purple, at about 0:27 on the timer, so keep it out of the paths to the trays until then.
