Sand Blocks: Drop Puzzle Level 388 Walkthrough
Level 388 carries the game's Hard label and plays in two halves. A purple tray marked 8 seals the top of the board, and it only counts down as you clear receivers at a small side slot on the left, whose pipe cycles white, orange, cyan and yellow. A crate holding three receivers waits in the middle, and once the tray is gone the upper maze opens and the top reservoir pours blue, pink, brown and purple while the left slot switches to green and then red.

How to Solve Sand Blocks Level 388 — Full Solution
- At about 2:45 on the timer the white bar at c1 r6 fills from the left slot; it clears by 2:44 and the tray drops from 8 to 7. The pipe switches to orange.
- Move the small orange cells into c1-c2 r6 under the slot. They clear at about 2:34 and 2:33, taking the tray to 6 and then 5, and the pipe turns cyan.
- Slide the cyan bar into c1-c2 r6; it clears at about 2:31 (tray 4). A small cyan cell follows at about 2:30 (tray 3), and another quick clear at about 2:29 brings the tray to 2 as the pipe turns yellow.
- Drop the yellow bar from c5-c6 r6 into c1-c2 r6 at about 2:27; it clears at about 2:26 and the tray reads 1.
- Empty the crate. At about 2:22 drag the red upright out into the lower right (badge 2, a blue L appears); at about 2:20 pull the blue L out (badge 1, a yellow L appears); at about 2:19 pull the yellow L out and the crate disappears.
- Shuffle the magenta cells to the left and walk the yellow L down and across (about 2:18 to 2:07) until it sits at c1-c2 r6-r7 under the yellow slot. It fills at about 2:06, and at about 2:04 the tray breaks, uncovering a packed upper maze of green, brown, red, magenta, blue and purple pieces. The left pipe now runs green.
- Feed green to the slot: a small green cell at about 1:59, then the green square, which fills just below the slot at about 1:32 and clears by 1:31. Bring the green upright down from c6 to the slot next; after it clears the left pipe turns red at about 1:21.
- Open the path under the reservoir. By about 1:12 a blue bar sits at c3-c4 r1 and fills (100% at about 1:11); a blue L follows and is full at about 1:08. The reservoir now shows pink on top of the remaining blue.
- Catch pink with the magenta square at c3-c4 r1 (53% at about 1:08, cleared by 1:07), then the magenta L (79% at about 1:05, cleared by 1:04).
- Take care of the red slot while the reservoir turns brown: stack red pieces in c1-c2 just below it (a red upright at 2% at about 0:52), and the red L reaches 100% at about 0:46. The left pipe runs dry after that.
- Finish the last blue and pink in the reservoir: a blue bar at c3-c4 r1 (62% at about 0:44, cleared by 0:43) and three small magenta cells (cleared between about 0:42 and 0:40).
- Brown and then purple finish the level. A brown L at c4-c5 r1-r2 clears at about 0:38 and a brown upright at c4 r1-r2 is full at about 0:32. Line up the remaining purple bars under the reservoir two at a time; the last one reads 100% at about 0:29 and the board empties with about 28 seconds left.
Colors in this level:
White, Orange, Cyan, Yellow, Green, Red, Blue, Magenta, Brown, Purple
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Waiting for the tray to open before touching the side slot. The tray only counts clears, and nearly all of them in the first half come from that slot.
- Leaving the crate full. The yellow L inside is the receiver that finally breaks the tray.
- Parking maze pieces across c3-c4 r1 after the tray opens, which keeps the blue reservoir from reaching any receiver.
- Ignoring the left slot in the second half. It still pours green and then red, and those receivers need it.
Quick Tips for Sand Blocks Level 388 (quick clues)
- Every tray tick comes from the left slot, so keep a matching piece staged next to c1 r6 before the pipe changes colour.
- Pull all three crate receivers out early; the last one, a yellow L, is the piece that takes the tray from 1 to 0.
- After the tray opens, clear the pieces sitting under c3-c4 first so the blue reservoir can start pouring.
Board notes 5 details
- Layout
- Six columns. A purple tray marked 8 covers the upper four rows (r1-r4) under a blue reservoir at c3-c4. Below it, row 5 holds a sand slot at c1 fed by the left pipe (white at the start), a crate marked 3 across c2-c4 with a red receiver showing inside, and a magenta square at c5-c6. Rows 6-8 are packed: a white bar at c1 r6 under the slot, a purple bar, small magenta, cyan and orange cells, a yellow bar at c5-c6 r6, blue bars along the left, a brown upright at c5 r7-r8 and a green upright at c6 r7-r8.
- Goal
- Clear eight receivers to break the tray: all of them come from the left slot as its colour changes. Empty the crate on the way (each receiver dragged out lowers its badge). With the tray gone, work the upper maze toward the top reservoir, then finish its brown and purple layers.
- Opening
- The white bar at c1 r6 fills from the white slot and clears by 2:44 on the timer, dropping the tray to 7. The pipe then runs orange: bring the small orange cells into c1-c2 r6 under the slot; they clear at about 2:34 and 2:33 (tray 6, then 5).
- Danger Zone
- Only c1-c2 r6, the cells right under the side slot, can take its sand, so keep them free between catches. The crate also needs somewhere to put its three receivers; if the lower grid is full you cannot pull the yellow L out, and the yellow L is the receiver that breaks the tray.
- Mechanics
- Hard label. Clear counter on the tray, a colour-cycling left side slot (white, orange, cyan, yellow, then green and red), a 3-receiver queue crate (red, blue L, yellow L), and a layered top reservoir (blue, pink, brown, purple) that only becomes reachable once the maze under it is cleared.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the 8 on the Level 388 tray count?
Receiver clears. Each clear drops it by one, and it opens when the yellow L from the crate clears at the yellow side slot at about 2:04 on the timer.
What is inside the crate marked 3?
Three receivers in a queue: a red upright, a blue L and a yellow L. Dragging each one out lowers the badge and shows the next.
What order does the top reservoir pour in?
Blue first, then pink, then brown, and purple last. A handful of purple bars finish the level.
